Compass Use and Distance Determination for Orienteering

Compass Use and Distance Determination for Orienteering

Willamette Mission State Park

For CROC members

Learn and practice two essential orienteering skills: using bearings to locate controls, and judging distance to know where you are on the map. This one-hour workshop will teach you these important skills so you can apply them to the course of your choice at Willamette Mission after the training.

Bring your compass, or borrow one at the training.

This training is a benefit for CROC members, and there is no fee. Register by August 18 here, or when you register for the Willamette Mission meet. For questions and suggestions contact training coordinator  Anndy Wiselogle.
