This event has been CANCELLED and rescheduled for Sat Sept 17.
Description
This Zero-O training features a training exercise and short course at Mt. Tabor.
This is a workshop for CROC members only, on Learning Those Funny Control Symbols. For those who have done an Intermediate or Advanced orienteering course, you’ve seen those funny little symbols, which are actually helpful in locating the control. We’ll learn/review the columns and which symbols go where. Then we’ll do an exercise where everyone marks her or his favorite symbol on the map, and we all do a Score-O.
Participants must be CROC members and must have completed an Orange (Intermediate) orienteering course.
Schedule
Meet at 9:30 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Park, near SE 69th & Salmon Street in Portland (contact Anndy Wiselogle for specific location). The workshop will end at 12:00 noon. There are lots of good places for lunch afterward.
Cost: No charge!
RSVP
Please RSVP to the meet director at the email below no later than 9pm Thursday Aug 18 so that we have a map for you. (If you do not RSVP, we can't promise you'll get a map.)
