The Bay Area Orienteering Club (BAOC) and NAV-X are hosting the North American Rogaine Championships in the central Sierra Nevada mountains, August 26-28 2016.
There will be 4, 8 and 24 hour courses.
"The area is mostly open forest and granite slab with elevations in the 7000-9000 foot range. The steepness is manageable (by CA standards) and there is no poison oak."
