Gabriel Park, Southwest Portland
For CROC Members only. FREE!
Join us for another member training event at beautiful Gabriel Park in SW Portland.
This 3 kilometer course gives you several legs to evaluate which is the fastest route for you. Examples: over or around the hill? Straight through the stream or on the longer path? And, of course, if you spend too much time evaluating your choices, well, that’s time lost.
You should also practice the C-A-R technique: look at the Control you’re going to, find the Attack point you’ll use, and then (only then) plan your Route. If you don’t plan and you head straight toward the control, you may run into the uncrossable cliff, or the out-of-bounds area.
This is another COVID-cautious training, which means we’re all keeping distance. After you register, you will be sent the directions and the map (either email or postal mail). No trainer will be at the park. Sprinkler flags will mark the control locations.
This training is for CROC members only, and there is no cost. Register here by November 18 (by November 15 if you want the map snail mailed). For questions, contact CROC training coordinator Anndy Wiselogle.
