Event overview
Battle Ground Lake State Park Is a little geological mystery, a sort of "mini crater lake" with a sunken caldera and no inlet and no outlet. It has a large network of pathways, open to hikers, equestrians, and mountain bikers. Some steeper terrain and dense forest is mixed with some areas of more open meadows.
If this is your first time orienteering, welcome! Free beginner clinics are offered at this event to teach you everything you need to know..
We use an electronic scoring and timing system known as “e-punch”. Each entry or team needs to have an e-punch stick. If you have your own e-punch stick, you save $5 off the event price. If you need one, we provide it as part of your entry fee. Using e-punch is easy. You can learn how at the event, or read about e-punch here.
