This event will be cancelled if driving conditions are determined to be unsafe by the event organizer. A decision on this will be made in the evening the day before the event. Please check this page Sunday morning to be sure that it is still on.
If the snowpack cooperates, we will have a regular ski-orienteering event at Mt. Hood Meadows in February, prior to the end-of-season event at the end of March. The course will be about 5 km, including new terrain and trails. For this year only, come and take advantage of the new clearcut area that will be a parking lot next year.
New for 2019 - RSVP in advance to guarantee a map for everyone on your team for no extra cost, click the button below (opens a Google form in a new browser tab)
RSVP, What’s this?
New for 2019, we’re asking participants to fill out a short RSVP form to let us know you’re coming. Doing this helps the event director know how many maps to print and streamlines event day registration. If you fill out this short form, everyone on your team will get a map, which makes things a lot more fun! Deadline for form submission is 12 noon the day prior to the event.
Registration opens at 10 am. Starts are from 11 am to noon.
We plan to include electronic timing so participants can compare split times between controls.
In addition to the orienteering event cost, there is a $21 trail fee, and a sno-park permit is required. Rental equipment is available at the Nordic Center.
A sno-park permit is required. Rental equipment is available at the Nordic Center. Mt. Hood Meadows is located across from the Teacup Lake sno-park, on Hwy 35, eight miles east of the Hwy 26 split. This is the lower, eastern, Hood River Meadows lot. Park on the far right end.
