Mt Hood Meadows ski-O

PLEASE CHECK THE CROC WEBSITE BEFORE YOU LEAVE TOWN IN CASE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE UNSUITABLE FOR A SAFE EVENT.

2017 is shaping up to be a big snow year, so let's go try ski orienteering! Our first event will be a 5 km course at Mt. Hood Meadows Nordic Center.

NOTE: You must have a sno-park permit with you. They are available at several locations in Sandy, and at Meadows. Check weather conditions in advance, and bring chains/traction tires is always a  good idea.

Registration opens at 10 am. Starts are from 11 am to noon. Course closes at 2 pm.

We plan to include electronic timing so participants can compare split times between controls.

In addition to the $8 event cost, there is a $15 trail fee, and a sno-park permit is required. Rental equipment is available at the Nordic Center.

Mt. Hood Meadows is located across from the Teacup Lake sno-park, on Hwy 35, eight miles east of the Hwy 26 split. This is the lower, eastern, Hood River Meadows lot. Park on the far right end. The lot can fill up with downhill skiers and boarders, so you might want to get there early.
